1.
Main body, built in just one piece. Once the valve is connected
to the water intake there's no need for any kind of alignment or adjustment. |
| 2.
The removable lid allows clean and easy service operations. Removing
the lid provides easy access to the only serviceable part of the system
to be replaced, the diaphragm. To replace this part simply remove the
lid, change the diaphragm for a new one and replace the lid. Repair
is done!! In certain installations, due to the water pressure and excess
of air in the water pipes, the valve may produce some noise that can
be eliminated rotating the removable lid 1/4 of a turn anti-clockwise. |

The adjusting screw controls the water level in the tank and
is the key element in the valve. An accurate regulation facilitates
the tank to fill properly and the desired water level. The only detail
to keep in mind is that when the floating ball is idle, the brass piston
that restricts the water flow must remain at the same level of chamber
interior wall ( this should be verified before installing the valve
) keeping in mind that if the screw is too loose, the water level will
be higher ( and maybe causing water to spill out of the tank ). If the
screw is too tight, the water flow will be restricted thus taking more
time to fill the tank. |

The float lever is made with hard brass wire what completely
eliminates any chance of breakage so common when using a die cast
lever. Inserted
into plastic, is indestructible under normal conditions. The lever
is manufactured with a standard or inverted twist ( just make sure
you
request the proper model, both options are ussually in stock ).5. The drain pipe is made with a flexible material allowing the easy installation before introducing the valve inside the tank. It has a small ventilation hole that eliminates the noise while the water fills the tank. The lower end should be as close to the bottom of the tank as posible, in this way, once the water level reaches the end of the drain pipe, the system is completely silent. Note: Every model in series 2000 is provided with a drain pipe. Series 3000 & 3100 DOES NOT include a drain pipe, although the valve end allows to easily connect a hose to reach the bottom of the tank making the valve completely silent. This hose must have a small hole ( approx. 1/8" ) close to the valve and higher than the water level. |

| 6.The
plastic nut is made with a plastic material specifically selected
according to it's function making it almost unbreakable. It provides
MORE INTERNAL SCREW THREAD and has a dual action conical seal with horizontal
seating providing thus providing a perfect sealing and allowing the
valve to be installed without using any tools. |

The diaphragm is an elastic disc controled by the float lever
through the valve piston. This is the piece that shuts the water flow.
Manufactured with two different materials: a white coloured one to
medium and low pressure that is softer allowing an easier seal with
less force. The other one is beige and is used for high water pressure
made of SANTOPRENE® TERMOPLASTIC RUBBER with higher structural
memory and higher resistance to chlorine. 3/4" series 3100 tank
valves are provided with both diaphragm models to select the proper
one according to the environment. * Every different
ERREDE valve is protected under international patents. |
